MY STORY

My name is Gabrielle Alexis, and I’m from Mesquite, Texas. I’ve been dancing my entire life and began teaching and choreographing at just 14 years old. I’m trained in a variety of styles, but hip hop has always been my favorite because of its versatility and rich blend of cultural influences. I continued dancing throughout high school and into college at the University of North Texas, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship while competing with teams and refining my craft.

While at UNT, I founded a dance team called EagleVybes, which brings together dancers of all levels and backgrounds. Our team explores a range of styles including hip hop, heels, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, and more, creating a space where creativity and community come first.

After college, I began working with artists and training young dancers at various studios, constantly building my resume and evolving as a choreographer. Even in the face of life’s toughest challenges—including my battle with Hodgkin’s lymphoma—I never stopped pushing forward or lost faith in God’s plan for me.

From a young age, I’ve dreamed of owning my own dance studio. I’ve spent years preparing for that vision, brick by brick. That’s why every Saturday, I teach like it’s my last—full of passion, purpose, and deep gratitude. My hope is to leave behind a lasting legacy and give everyone who steps into my class a truly unforgettable experience.
